Josh Lopez- Cooking Demonstration
Josh Lopez brings the flavours of El Salvador to Brisbane, and Global Fiesta. The celebrated chef will be showcasing his heritage cuisine, while educating on tradition and flavours. Lopez, is former Head Chef at The Wolfe as well as former Executive Chef at GOMA Restaurant, and was awarded the Brisbane Times Good Food Guide Chef of the Year in 2016.
African Beat- Performance
This spirited performance blends vibrant rhythms, vocal harmonies, bright costumes, exotic percussion grooves and superhuman dance moves. The show promises colour, energy and a delightful taste of Ghanaian music and culture.
The Barleyshakes- Performance
Brewed in Ireland and distilled in Australia, the Barleyshakes are a Celtic band with world music influence, who combine intense energy, beautiful harmony and driving dance rhythms in their live performances. The assembly are winners of the Queensland Music Award for World Music; and band members also contributed as soloists in the Lord of the Rings soundtrack.
Dario Manca- Cooking Demonstration
Former Head Chef at Brisbane’s Zazata Restaurant and Head Chef at freshly opened, Rosmarino Restaurant, Manca brings a wealth of fine dining experience to the Global Fiesta stage. Showcasing Italian cuisine in all its flavourful glory, guests can expect a mouth-watering demonstration with Nonna’s tick of approval.
Revel in a blend of energetic Tibetan, Indian, pop, rock and classical musical sensibilities with Tibet2Timbuk2. The collective has performed at numerous festivals around Australia, including Bellingen Global Carnival, Woodford Folk Festival and Queensland Multicultural Festival.
Peter Kuruvita- Cooking Demonstration
Kuruvita combines his love affair for food and Sri Lankan heritage to create dishes full of spice and flavour. Spanning four decades as an award-winning chef and restaurateur, Kuruvita has expanded his career to encompass the roles of TV presenter, author, industry speaker, tour guide and food & beverage consultant. Guests can find Kuruvita at Noosa Beach House, alongside his signature, celebrated, Sri Lankan menu.
